still trying to put IT together

Standard
Here I am with pen and journal trying to figure out where the flow of my life is going and how I will follow the flimsy, fluid thread. I thought I had come upon a road paved with serendipity, for a day I shouted pronouncements. This morning I went back to look to see if it was still there. It was not. After reading I realized I had missed the deadline just weeks ago. The application window for the low-res Phd. in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University had closed on April 30th. Why had I not come upon it earlier?

In my email I found a TED Talk on “Spark Success.” It gave me ideas for my concept for a writer’s retreat and then for a workshop I can begin here, closer to now. But then something happened on the TED website leading me to click on the attached talk on creativity. I did not notice the speaker’s name fortunately because if I had I would have rejected it out of hand. Nothing like a popular best seller and a movie staring Julia Roberts to make a work suspect. Gilbert speaks more eloquently than I on creativity and the writing process. I hope you feel as juiced as I did listening.
